Former Australia skipper Ian Chappell has labeled the upcoming two match Test series against Bangladesh as a "difficult tour" for the Aussies.
Chappell acknowledged Bangladesh's improvement in cricket's longest format in the recent times by saying Bangladesh have "really improved".
Chappell, who has many times questioned Bangladesh's Test status, is now viewing Bangladesh as a serious threat. "This will be a difficult tour," Chappell said. "It'll be hard and I don't think they believe it will be anything but hard. Not so much because of the pay dispute, it'll be hard because the conditions there are difficult and in the last 12-18 months Bangladesh have really improved."
In the last Test series at home against England, Tigers pulled off their maiden Test victory over the English Lions. The victory over England is serving as a warning for the Aussies, as they now know, that Bangladesh has the ability to beat top sides in the longest format of the game.
